Civil war is definitely a possibility. Unfortunately for Republicans, though, not enough has changed for them to win (what was then the north is now the Dems). Then as now, the Rebs/Reps believed/believe their superior firepower and experience would prevail. Then as now, the union/Dems produced/produce most of the country's GDP. Then it was 90-10 North over South, now it's 70-30. With that kind of financial edge, the Dems don't even have to fight--they can buy an army to fight for them.

One thing that *has* changed is that the most experienced fighters of all are mainly Black and Latino, both in the military and on the street. They might be more right-wing than average, but if the MAGAs think they are going to sign up with the white side in what will be, for all intents and purposes, a race war, they're even more out of touch with reality than they realize (for a preview of coming attractions check out some video of the Not F***ing Around Black militia doing maneuvers while white militias scatter :D

The sooner the MAGAs realize that Donald Trump is just a tool sent by Putin, Xi, and the 1 percent to divide us, the better. In a Civil War, only the Russians and Chinese win.
